Skin types vary depending upon factors such as:
  • Water content, which affects your skin's comfort and elasticity.
  •  Oil (lipid) content, which affects your skin's softness
  •  Sensitivity level

There are 3 types of skins:
  1.  Dry skin is a very common skin condition characterized by a lack of the appropriate amount of water in the most superficial layer of the skin and can be prone to sensitivity.

    causes of dry skin:
      frequent bathing.
      use of harsh soaps.
      aging.
      certain medical conditions.
      colder climates.   
      genetic condition.
      Poor diet. Nutritional deficiencies, especially deficiencies of vitamin A and the B vitamins.
      Skin gets exposed to the elements especially in winter.
      Long, hot baths and showers.
      Hormonal changes.
      Hypothyroidism.
      Diabetes.

     To Care for Dry Skin:
     Avoid the use of tap water when cleansing dry skin.
     Drink plenty of water.
     Use a humidifier in the winter.
     Avoid wearing wool and other fabrics that can irritate the skin.
     Use fragrance-free laundry detergents and avoid fabric softeners.
     Avoid the use of tap water when cleansing dry skin.
     Use an aloe vera mask.
 
      2. Oily skin is identified by an excess of oil on the face.

        causes of oily skin:
       Overuse use of skin care products
       Humidity and hot weather
       overactive sebaceous glands
       harsh soaps
       Heavy cosmetics
       Over-cleansing

      To take  care of oily skin:
     Wash your skin no more than twice a day and after you perspire heavily.
     Use natural products
     Use a gentle cleanser and don't scrub.
     Use a moisturizer that is light and oil-free.
     Improve Your Diet and Lifestyle
    Avoid greasy hair products like waxes and pomades.


   3.Normal skin has an even tone, soft, a smooth texture, no visible
      pores or blemishes, and no  greasy patches or flaky areas.


    To take care of normal skin:
    Moisturize your normal skin twice per day.
    Use a good quality make-up.
    gently wash your face with a mild soap.
   Proper cleansing to remove dirt.
   Using fewer special skin-care products will make problems with your skin less likely.
